Source of Living in St. Gallen

When you perceive the name of the country Switzerland, the primary thing that would come to your mind is either Geneva or Zurich. Well, that's normal because these two states are two most well-known cantons in that country. Nonetheless, there is also another canton in Switzerland that you should learn, and that is the Canton of St. Gallen. This state is lied in the north east of Switzerland and is surrounded to the north by Lake Constance, Rhine valley in the east, cantons of Graubünden, Glarus and Schwyz in the south, and cantons of Zürich and Thurgau in the west.

The canton topography changes from the plains immediate to river Rhine and Lake Constance towards the mountainous areas in the south while roughly one quarter of its land is covered in forests and more than half consists of Alpine pastures.
The citizens of this state chiefly depends on agricultural activity consists chiefly of dairy farming and cattle breeding in the mountainous areas. Furthermore, fruit and wine production are also crucial in the plain, but there is also mixed farming as source of living. The state industries, which include optical goods, pyrotechnics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, is another source of income here.
