Scenic Switzerland: A Photographer's Ideal Location

Home to a plethora of absolutely scenic views coupled with big mountain ranges capped with snow, Switzerland remains on top of the list of hiking junkies. With its breathtaking mountain ranges, it's not much of a surprise why most photographers want to shoot many outdoor scenes in this country. If there are two things that is noticeable on Switzerland it would be these two: stillness and beauty.

During my first trip to Switzerland, I made sure I packed my digital camera and large quantities memory cards because I know I'll be shooting every breathtaking location that I'll be visiting. And I was exactly unmistaken once I stepped out of the plane. I was greeted with sober climate and a light sunshine ideal for taking photos. On the way to my hotel, I told my driver to take me to the nearest scenic site since I want to take advantage of the apt lighting condition during that time. My driver took me to the Wetterhorn in Canton Bern that really does hold a breathtaking view: a flowing river with a towering ice-capped mountain serving as a background makes quite a remarkable photograph. On the way back to my hotel, I perceived that almost all people were using bicycles to move about in the city. I later on recognized that the hotel also extends a bicycle rental service. I suggest that if you had a chance to use a bicycle to move around the city, go for it, because Switzerland's' fair weather allows you to ride with ease while having enough time to take in each terrific view that you come across with.
