Getting to Know Various Eminent Swiss Ladies

Aside from Alps, ski, knives, watches, and chocolates, what else comes to mind if citing Switzerland? Unfortunately, there is not much as the country seems existing in great separateness. But when I arrived at Switzerland, I grasped there are several things, I mean, personalities who, even though familiar, are not widely known as Swiss. Let's examine the case of eminent Swiss ladies.

Who could forget that voluptuous, beautiful lass in the 1962 "James Bond, Dr No" movie? Ursula Andress was unquestionably a wonder but only a few know she is Swiss. Her notable presence in the movie made herself an instant star in Hollywood, seducing many men and being envied by women from different areas of the globe. Who would have thought that the bikini Ursula paraded in the motion picture was the most high-priced auction item in London some years ago?

Another sample is Martina Hingis, one among the best tennis players in the total world. At 16, she was known as the first youngest player of the sport; then more respect followed after that. It was only in 2006 that she rushed back to tennis since her seclusion in 2003.

Heidi may have been the most popular Swiss girl, only she is a work of fiction; plainly, her eminence transcends that of her maker, Johanna Spyri. The author's literary competence is even more manifested through her arty integration of everything Swiss in the book, from the Alps, Swiss culture to other magnificent tourist destinations.

There are unquestionably more ladies worth mentioning; in fact, you might have heard some of them-- only you do not know they are plainly Swiss.
