Astonishing Mountain Alps in Switzerland

Hiking is a formidable undertaking that is best enjoyed in the wonderful mountain alps that Switzerland, the Land of Sky, offers. A trail in any hiking site, usually coupled with ski resorts, is the perfect endeavor that visiting tourists should never forget to luxuriate into whenever they step on the Swiss land.

Interestingly, the base camps in the Southern part of Switzerland are teeming with the Saint Bernard dog breed, who are out to compliment the people preparing for a long hike. Since specific people prefer different undertakings, varied trails are offered with all sorts of advice and tips scattered along the way discussing how one can get on top safer and more enjoyable scattered all the way. Hard and challenging, the mountain trails in almost all of Switzerland have individual characteristics that would never let you down figuratively. The Glacier Express in the Brig is one good example of a must-hike trail for its wonderful formation that takes out all the body sweat that you have even when the weather is bitingly cold, the same way that the Window Lakes trail never fail to thrill. Aside from enjoying the hike, the valleys, ski resorts, and architectural landscapes that will compliment you on your way up also present exciting endeavors that no explorer in his right mind would possibly dare to ignore.

Scenic Switzerland: A Photographer's Ideal Location

Home to a plethora of absolutely scenic views coupled with big mountain ranges capped with snow, Switzerland remains on top of the list of hiking junkies. With its breathtaking mountain ranges, it's not much of a surprise why most photographers want to shoot many outdoor scenes in this country. If there are two things that is noticeable on Switzerland it would be these two: stillness and beauty.

During my first trip to Switzerland, I made sure I packed my digital camera and large quantities memory cards because I know I'll be shooting every breathtaking location that I'll be visiting. And I was exactly unmistaken once I stepped out of the plane. I was greeted with sober climate and a light sunshine ideal for taking photos. On the way to my hotel, I told my driver to take me to the nearest scenic site since I want to take advantage of the apt lighting condition during that time. My driver took me to the Wetterhorn in Canton Bern that really does hold a breathtaking view: a flowing river with a towering ice-capped mountain serving as a background makes quite a remarkable photograph. On the way back to my hotel, I perceived that almost all people were using bicycles to move about in the city. I later on recognized that the hotel also extends a bicycle rental service. I suggest that if you had a chance to use a bicycle to move around the city, go for it, because Switzerland's' fair weather allows you to ride with ease while having enough time to take in each terrific view that you come across with.

A Nourishing Breakfast In The Icy Region Of Switzerland

A appetizing potato dish that is similar to the Hash Brown, Latke, and Tater Tots, the Rösti is a classic breakfast meal eaten in Switzerland. For die-hard fans of this appetizing and nourishing culinary jewel, the Rösti is another unofficial national dish of the country of chocolates and cheese. Today, however, this is more often served as a favored side dish to several viands throughout the whole day because of its savory taste.

Rösti can be made simply by finely chafing potatoes that are to be mixed throughout in either fat or butter. The mixture is shaped into petite or grand patties, and are fried in oil until golden brown, or for the health-conscious, they can instead be baked inside an oven. Depending mostly on the other regions that cook it, the Rösti is ever-so-often given additional touches like fresh herbs, crispy bacon, sweet onions, and apples. Swiss housewives and cooks are at a staunch disharmony on the kind of potato to be used in making this appetizing meal - like to use either boiled or raw potatoes.

So the next time you're yearning for a foreign cuisine, why not take out those nourishing spuds in your refrigerator and make yourself a dish that is worth of the Swiss.

Paying Close Attention to Up-and-coming Fashion Guru

If there's one thing in this world that isn't constant, it's the fast-paced world of dressmaking. Every so often, a new line is launched and every fashionable person wants to join in the gaiety. Thanks to the creative minds and indomitable spirits of fashion gurus around the world, who constantly cook up couture for everyone to take part in.

The masterful Marianne Alvoni, breakthrough fashion guru from Bern, started out as a mere dressmaker and is now considered as an accomplished couturier in her homeland. She got her final diploma some years ago and took up additional couture schooling at Schule fuer Gestaltung in Basel. What started out as a little dressmaking atelier in 1985 is now a household name in bridal couture and quality evening apparel. She has showcased some of her designs on local television, which only made her more reputable nationwide.

Alvoni has had quite a few successful runway shows all over Switzerland, earning her well-deserved respect and flattery from peers, fans, and contemporaries. In fact, a few of her intriguing garments are on display in Zurich's Schweizerisches Landesmuseum, or the National Swiss Museum. Her captivating collections include wedding gowns, weekdays day wear, and evening apparel -- all captivating pieces of Alvoni Couture.

Where To Have a Delightful Stay in Grindelwald

As a holidaymaker, I have already been to many beautiful places across different continents in the world. However, for me, there is no place in the world that is quite like the superb and beguiling Switzerland. Even though I have been in the country countless times already, I still can't get enough of its grandness. Truth is, I'm planning yet another week-long retreat in Switzerland, this time in the exquisite village of Grindelwald. I have been to Grindelwald before during the wintry months and I had a delightful time skiing and snowboarding in the mountain slopes. This time though, I plan to go there in the summer months just to enjoy the exquisite village and the incredible mountain scenery.

Last time I was in leave in Grindelwald, I stayed in the amazing Sunstar Hotel. I vouch for this hotel to all those who plan to visit the exquisite village. The hotel is ideally set across the First Ski Station, so it's the perfect lodging house for vacationers who are in town for the snow sports. Sunstar Hotel provides extravagant accommodation for all its residents, with rooms furnished in pine wood and spruced up alpine style. Most rooms have balconies where one can spend quiet time taking in the incredible scenery of the Eiger. The hotel also have excellent facilities like indoor swimming pool and sauna and various niceties to make every tourist's stay pleasant. I had a delightful stay at Sunstar the last time, so I'll absolutely make a reservation with this hotel again.
